ESPN had the 2010 World Cup, and much of America didn’t care about soccer. So we didn’t sell soccer, we sold the world’s one shared game: Anthem, Power of Ten, Sick Days, and Robben Island, the prisoners who ran a football league inside apartheid’s most famous prison. On TV, social and out-of-home.
